The Xiaomi 14 series of phones will most likely reach the international market as well
The Indian branch of the Chinese company Xiaomi announced on its website Twitter (X) account teaser announcing the brand’s renewed partnership with Leica in the field of smartphone photography. Although the company did not explicitly mention that it is the Xiaomi 14 series of phones, we know that the existing models of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro line in China use Leica lenses, and considering that the announcement comes from the Indian branch of the company, it could hint at the launch this series for the international market.
Also, the company will participate in this year’s MWC fair in Barcelona at the end of February, and since the previous Xiaomi 13 series for the international market was also presented at this fair, the phones of this line would make their global debut right then.
In addition, this series of devices should be supplemented by the best, as yet unreleased Xiaomi 14 Ultra model, which insiders claim will see the light of day right at MWC at the end of February.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is likely to have a primary camera with a wider, variable aperture, which should be supported by a one-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.
The base and Pro models of the series are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and the two phones have a similar hardware configuration, but still with noticeable differences in terms of display and battery. The Pro model also has a camera with variable aperture, in addition to 50 MP.
In any case, it would be great to see the new series of the main Xiaomi phone line outside of China, and the satisfaction of fans will only increase if, in addition to the two existing models, the premium device of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra series also arrives at the global level.
