Renault Twingo EV is a new concept of a small city car that will cost “under 20 thousand euros”
As we expected, the Renault company presented its new, as it claims, affordable electric city car, and what is not surprising is its name – Twingo. It is not the first Renault Twingo EV, because another such was launched in 2020, the company promised at the presentation of the concept of the new vehicle that it will cost under 20 thousand euros.
In addition to the mentioned, but still incompletely determined price, the new model will allegedly also have incredible efficiency – consumption of only 10 kWh per 100 km.
Unfortunately, these are about the only details that we had the opportunity to see in addition to the images showing the concept. The new Renault Twingo EV will be the smallest of the company's electric vehicles, even smaller than the upcoming Renault 5 and 4 models, using the same AmpR Small architecture.

RenaultThis car should be in production at the end of 2025, which means that it should be on the market already at the beginning of 2026, if everything goes according to plan, according to the EVAren presentation.
Until then, we can hope that its price will really stay within the announced limits, considering that we have seen how the prices of electric vehicles rise from the announcement to the moment when they are on sale. Renault Twingo EV will be produced by factories in Europe, and the emission of harmful substances during its lifetime will reportedly be lower than the average European ICE car, the company claims.
