Redmi Note 13 series released: Pro+ comes with 16/512 GB memory and 120 W charging
In the new series, Xiaomi offers three phone models: Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ model. The leading device from the series, the Pro+ model offers a configuration of up to 16/512 GB of memory, where LPPDR5 is RAM, and the storage space is UFS 3.1.
This phone model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chipset and is also the only one in the series with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It comes in combination with 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB or 16/512 GB ratio of RAM and storage memory.
On the design side, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a curved screen with a “vegan” leather back in purple, and there is also a limited AAPE series with a “military” pattern mask, and the black and white models have a matte glass back.
The screen is a 6.67-inch OLED type with a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel has a 12-bit color palette and PWM dimming of 1920 Hz, according to the official website. In automatic mode, the brightness goes up to 1800 nits, and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus glass. Another feature is the optical fingerprint scanner located under the screen.
On the front of the device there is a 16 MP selfie camera, while on the back it is equipped with a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor, the same one that was used on the predecessor from the 12 series. Ultrawide and macro modules with 8 and 2 MP, respectively, are also carried over from the previous model.
The battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh will be able to charge very quickly thanks to the support for charging with a power of 120 W. As expected, the operating system covers MIUI 14 based on the Android 13 software, until the announced MIUI 15 arrives. Due to these features, the mid-range phone works for now as a premium device, and prices (for China) range from 260 to 300 euros, depending on the configuration.
A basic model with solid features for less money
The basic model from the series also has a screen diagonal of 6.67 inches, AMOLED type with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Brightness reaches 1000 nits and also shares 1920 Hz PWM dimming with the Pro+ model.
This phone is also powered by a MediaTek chipset, but the Dimensity 6080 has four memory configurations: 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB. The RAM is LPDDR4X, while the storage is UFS 2.2, as opposed to LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 in the Pro+.
The main camera has 100 MP and a pixel size of 0.64 mm, next to it is a 2 MP depth sensor, while the front camera is equipped with 16 MP. The battery has 5000 mAh, but unlike the very fast charging of 120 W in the Pro+ model, the basic one has support for . charging of only 33 W.
This 5G device is available in three colors: whitish-beige, black and light blue, and prices in China range from 155 to 231 euros, depending on the choice of configuration, when the yuan is converted to other currencies.
Redmi Note 13 Pro instead of Dimensity, has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset
The mid-range phone instead of MediaTek, has the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset that offers RAM of 8, 12 or 16 GB in combinations with 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage memory.
Redmi Note 13 Pro has the same diagonal size as its two “cousins” from the series, a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels and identical PWM dimming and screen refresh rate. Just like the Pro+ model, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has a brightness that goes up to 1800 nits.
The camera system also contains a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor, an 8 and 2 MP ultra-wide and macro camera, as well as a 16 MP front camera. The battery has 5100 mAh, and when it comes to charging, it, as the central model of the series, holds that title in this regard as it has support for 67 W.
Available colors are black, light blue, light purple (almost pink) and whitish-beige. The prices that accompany it, depending on the choice of memory, range from 192 to 270 euros in the best variant.
However, it is still not known when this series will be available globally and what prices will eventually accompany it.
