WhatsApp plans to enable screen sharing for watching videos and listening to music together
One of Meta’s applications, WhatsApp continues to work on new features that will improve online communication among its users. One of the latest moves is that this time WhatsApp plans to enable users to watch and listen to audio and video recordings together, or the option for them to do it simultaneously.
The feature is still in the testing phase, and it will allow users to start so-called “watch parties”, notes WaBetaInfo. That possibility should be equally available on both Android and iOS operating systems, so no one will be excluded.
One of the best features of the upcoming option is that all users in a video call will be able to share their screens with others, and it basically works like a “watch party” only on the instant messaging platform.
Also, the screen sharing option is a feature that already exists on this app on Android devices, but it is limited to only showing the screen content, while the audio still cannot be shared. The new option should fix that problem, and the ability to share only audio content will be allowed.
However, we will have to wait for that for a while, considering that the option is still in the testing phase and it is possible that before the final introduction it will be slightly changed compared to what we know about it now.
