The premiere of the Honor X50 GT phone scheduled for January 4, arrives with a 108 MP main camera
The new Honor smartphone will be a member of the X50 series, which already in January officially joins the family of three existing members that were introduced earlier this year. Thus, the premiere of the Honor X50 GT model is scheduled for January 4, and the company revealed some of its features on advertising posters.
The official announcement indicates that this phone will still retain the GT designation instead of adding the word Pro to the name, despite previous rumors indicating that the model will be called the Honor X50 Pro. However, this may still be the case when it comes to the launch of phones in markets outside of China, as we have already had the opportunity to see with some Chinese companies.
The premiere of the Honor X50 GT brings 108 MP to the main camera of the device, whose sensor is 1/1.67 inches in size, and the aperture is f/1.75, as seen in the inscription on the back of the white version from the advertising poster. It is probably the popular Samsung HM6 sensor that can be seen in many devices, including the basic Honor X50 as well as the Honor Magic6 Lite and X9b phones.
The device will emphasize the GT series’ “extreme pursuit of performance,” claimed the company’s marketing director, Zhang Hairong Harrison, on Weibo. The phone will offer improved heat control, a more responsive screen and some benefits rarely seen in the X line of mid-range phones.
On the design side, the phone will sport a modern white color with a yellow “racing” stripe down the middle on the back, as well as a classic black color, as seen in the leaked images.
We will officially find out all other specifications on January 4, and the premiere of the Honor X50 GT starts at 19:30 local time. However, it is likely that in the days leading up to the launch, the company will publish a piece by piece of specifications that should tickle the imagination of phone lovers.
