Popular PS4 horror Until Dawn is getting a UE5 gaming remake for PC and PS5
The game studio Supermassive Games achieved its first big success in 2015 by publishing the now popular PS4 horror Until Dawn, and now we learn that the UE5 gaming remake (Unreal Engine 5) of this game is coming. This time, Until Dawn will be available for the PS5 console, but unlike before, it is now expanding to the PC market.
The remake of this gaming horror was officially announced through a trailer on the official PlayStation YouTube channel and after only two days, there is already a solid amount of information on the air about the major changes that are coming with it.
The original Until Dawn release was in the style of slasher movies, with fixed camera angles that somewhat helped maintain tension during in-game scenes. However, the new and improved, or remake, ditches this in favor of a third-person camera, which could potentially increase its popularity, but we’ll see once the game is available to try out.
The popular PS4 horror game will include interactions and an extended story in the new version, which aims to delve deeper into certain emotional connections and flesh out the characters a bit more.
However, instead of Supermassive Games, this time the remake of the game is being developed by Ballistic Moon game studio with the help of the Unreal Engine 5 platform, which is considered one of the most powerful and popular in gaming, writes KitGuru. Unreal features popout animations, but also: Nanite, Lumen, World Partition system, MetaSounds and others.
