Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have a new camera lens on probably the same design as its predecessor
According to the image that appeared on social Weibo, it seems that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone will have the same overall design as its predecessor, the current Xiaomi 13 Ultra model. The leaked image reveals what the glass cover of the camera system on the back of the phone looks like, and based on it, it can be seen that their design will remain the same, although the “holes” will probably contain completely new camera lenses.
The main camera should therefore have an aperture of f/1.6, while the periscope telephoto lens could probably have f/2.5, and the camera system should again be developed in collaboration with Leica.
Xiaomi likes to change the look of its flagship devices from generation to generation, and since the Ultra tag has been part of its brand, we haven’t seen a repeat of the design. This then means that this information is either incorrect or the company is simply satisfied with the work it did last year, and has now decided not to fix what isn’t broken for once.
However, if previous insider reports are to be believed, the main camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone should have a Sony LYT-900 sensor with variable aperture.
In any case, we will see that after its launch, and currently the biggest unknown is whether this phone will be globally available or the company will disappoint its fans by launching it exclusively in China, as was done with the Xiaomi 11 and Xiaomi 12S Ultra models.
