While we wait for the sixth, GTA V reaches new numbers – sold 190 million copies

The game that entered its eleventh year in September, a well-known part of the cult series Grand Theft Auto – GTA V, does not stand the test of time because the latest information shows that it has sold an incredible 190 million copies.

While the publisher of this game Rockstar Games is preparing the trailer of its long-awaited continuation in the form of GTA VI for December, its parent company Take-Two shows in the latest fiscal report that the “five” does not lose interest among the audience despite its release in 2013.

Gaming industry analyst by name @DomsPlaying on Twitter (X) noted that Grand Theft Auto V sold an additional five million copies in Take-Two's last quarter. This means that the game rose from 185 to 190 million copies sold in one quarter and is still considered one of the best-selling games of all time.

However, even with this impressive figure, it is in second place on this list, right behind the Mincecraft game, which has more than 300 million copies sold.

Another Rockstar title, Red Dead Redemption 2, also continues to grow, selling an additional two million copies compared to the previous quarter, bringing its total to 57 million.

While this game may not be as explosive in popularity among Rockstar fans, it is only one million away from becoming the seventh best selling game of all time.

Given that it will official GTA VI trailer will be on the air next month, it will be interesting to see if this will affect the earlier parts of the franchise – among which, in addition to the five, also the cult GTA titles Vice City and San Andreas – become even more popular.
