Vivo Funtouch OS 14 on Android 14 unveiled

The updated mobile operating system brings all the advantages of the new version of Android 14, with Vivo's unique response to consumer needs, to provide a better and more relaxed user experience. Funtouch OS 14 was created with a focus on the development of storage space distribution, the ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time, personalization of the device, protection of privacy and security, as well as a rich offer of new tools for videos, so that the device allows more room for creativity and flexibility.

Smooth Envision

Funtouch OS 14 brings another novelty in the series – Smooth Envision, an innovative approach that makes the OS experience more relaxed in every way. By reducing the number of persistent and repetitive processes, as well as optimizing the use of RAM, Funtouch OS 14 has improved system performance, screen adaptability and the ability to seamlessly keep multiple applications active at the same time.

This improved memory saving feature adds up to 600 MB of available space to devices with a RAM configuration of 8 GB and above, making multitasking extremely easy. For added comfort, a new function App Retainer it will make sure that apps with the necessary permissions (that weren't closed manually) are returned to the last interface, so users can easily pick up where they left off.

It is available on certain smartphone models Motion Blur feature, which uses advanced algorithms to simulate motion blur when opening and closing apps on the home screen. This software approach improves screen clarity at a 60Hz refresh rate by an impressive 18.7%, ensuring smooth visual transitions.

Find your true colors: Personalize the user experience

With a host of new personalization options, Funtouch OS 14 allows its users to express their unique style. From now on, all owners of this device can customize the clock on their lock screen by choosing one of three layout styles and eight font styles.

To create unique and stunning content, without having to rely on apps that need to be downloaded and often paid for, Funtouch OS 14 comes with outstanding video editing capabilities. Users can now send and share their videos with all the original quality features as this device supports it. Customizable video quality settings, including resolutions up to 4K at 60FPS, give users greater creative control and flexibility. In addition, 25 more filters have been designed for easy and quick video editing, all visible through thumbnail view, in order to better present the original effects and thus facilitate the final selection of filters.

Funtouch OS 14 allows users to share their device's content while maintaining complete control over all their personal data. New feature Smart Mirroring allows you to share your screen without worrying about an activity notification appearing on another device, accidentally revealing any information or personal data. What's more, users' hidden photos are now protected with an additional password verification step.
