Unveiling at IFA 2023: Introducing the Honor V Purse and Honor Magic V2
Global technology brand Honor presented its strategic vision for the future of smartphones at IFA 2023. In the session titled “Unfold Tomorrow,” George Zhao, CEO of Honor, emphasized the brand's commitment to integrating foldable smartphones into everyday life. Honor showcased its latest innovations, including the Magic V2, which is the brand's thinnest and lightest inward-folding smartphone. Additionally, they unveiled the Honor V Purse, a concept that transforms the foldable smartphone into a fashionable carry-on bag. The V Purse features customizable and always-on displays that mimic the bag's design and can be paired with various interchangeable straps and chains. Made with sustainable materials, such as vegan leather, the V Purse aligns with Honor's commitment to the environment. The company aims to reduce fast-fashion consumption and encourage the fashion industry to embrace new technologies. Honor has collaborated with top cultural creators through its Honor Talents Global Design Awards platform, resulting in a series of custom AOD screens for the V Purse. They also unveiled the Honor Magic V2, their new flagship foldable smartphone, which boasts significant improvements in form factor, battery life, screen, and user experience. The Magic V2 features a lightweight design with a thin inward-folding body and a double silicon-carbon battery. It also incorporates the first super-light titanium hinge and Honor steel for durability. The phone has a triple rear camera system and industry-leading screen dimming technology to minimize eye strain. The Magic V2 supports “floating experiences” and Parallel Space, which allows users to manage applications in separate spaces. Additionally, Honor announced that the Honor 90 won the Best Buy Smartphone 2023-2024 award from EISA and introduced the Peacock Blue color for the device.
