The top version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor will have an insanely high frequency for a single mobile chip

According to well-informed sources in the field of mobile phones and portable devices, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 will exist in two versions. One will be the standard one, where the operating frequency of the processor will be set to 3.19 GHz, while the second variant will be the top edition of this processor with an even higher frequency and even better performance.

One of the privileged models of mobile phones that will use the top version of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra model with the mark SM-S928U, the results of which have appeared in the Geekbech 6 benchmarking test database on their official website. This is practically the performance of this faster and better Snapdragon processor, officially presented.

The performance of the top Snapdragon 8 Gen3 version appeared on the Geekbench site

Data revealed on the Geekbench 6 site shows that the strongest edition of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone uses a 1+3+2+2 design. There is an X4 super powerful Arm core whose heart beats at an almost unbelievable 3.3 GHz when it comes to mobile phone chips. Such a high operating frequency has been common for PC chips until now, but not for mobile phones. The question that remains in the air is how much the strongest Snapdragon will heat up?

In addition, in the strongest Snapdragon 8 Gen3 version there are three Arm cores class A720 at 3.15 GHz and two more of the same, but at a slightly lower clock rate of 2.96 GHz. The list ends with two A520 cores at 2.27 GHz.

The performance of a single core reached the level of 2234 points, while the result in multi-core operation mode is 6807 points. Although the achieved figures do not look overly good, it is expected that the performance and results of the version of the device when it enters mass production will be improved and even better, reports Kuai Technology.

Finally, we remind you that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 will be officially launched at the end of this month, as well as the corresponding mobile phone models powered by this processor. They will be equipped with the standard version of the processor, while the aforementioned top Snapdragon 8 Gen3 variant will see its premiere alongside the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone a little later.
