The Realme Note 50 is a new phone from a Chinese company that costs $64 in the Philippines

The Chinese company Realme has announced a new line of phones called Note, launching the first device of this series called Realme Note 50. This phone debuts with a screen that has a refresh rate of 90Hz, and is currently available in the Philippines at a price of only $64, to be exact 3600 Philippine pesos.

A little later in the year, two more new devices of this series will arrive that will follow the debut, writes GSMArena. But what does the Realme Note 50 bring at this price?

The new phone has a 6.74-inch diagonal IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and the aforementioned refresh rate, while at the same time offering a maximum brightness of 560 nits with a touch response rate of 180 Hz. On the front of the device there is a selfie camera in a circular shape at the top of the screen with only 5 MP, but at the price at which the phone is currently available, it would be too much to expect a “beast” from the front camera.

Inside the phone there is a Unisoc T612 chipset from the company of the same name from Shanghai, and it is paired with four gigabytes of work and 64 GB of memory for data storage. On the back is the main camera with 13 MP and QVGA auxiliary lens.

The software part covers the Realme UI T Edition which is based on the Android 13 operating system, while the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with 10 W charging. What is interesting is that this phone has an IP54 certificate for water and dust resistance, and a headphone port as well as the fingerprint sensor are located on its edges.

The phone is available in blue and black and currently outside of the Philippines, Realme still hasn't announced international pricing and availability, but the public expects it to arrive in other markets in the coming weeks. By the time it reaches other markets, it is certain that the price of the phone will also jump, but considering its specifications, it should not “go to the sky”. Therefore, if you need a simple phone at a low price, this phone may be the right choice for your needs.
