Realme 12+ 5G is likely to get the Dimensity 7050 chipset
The upcoming Realme 12+ 5G phone, identified under the model number RMX3867 in the Geekbench database, will most likely be equipped with the Dimensity 7050 chipset. It is interesting to note that this is the same chip used in the Realme 11 Pro+ model, which indicates probably similar performance.
As the base further reveals, this phone will ship with Android 14 operating system pre-installed and likely with Realme UI 5.0 user interface. The Geekbench 6 test showed that the new model achieves 958 points in the single-core processor score, while the multi-core score brought 2346 points, reports GSMArena.
Although the Dimensity 7050 chipset seemed less impressive on previous phones, such as the Oppo Reno smartphone, analysts expect the Realme 12+ to offer competitive performance at a more affordable price.
Given the expected affordability, this phone could attract more attention from those who don’t want to spend more money on a phone, but are looking for more performance at a more affordable price.
Also, if the Dimensity 7050 chip doesn’t sound familiar to you, don’t forget that MediaTek changed the names of its chipsets at some point, so this chip model is actually the former Dimensity 1080. It has two ARM Cortex A78 cores and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU part, and it was created on the TSMC 6 nm production process.
