Oppo A2 Pro launched with Dimensity 7050 chipset and free battery replacement within 4 years
The Oppo A2 Pro was officially launched in China today, featuring a large 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. What is much more important is that the information that appeared earlier – turned out to be correct.
This means that the Oppo A2 Pro comes with a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh, but also a program that allows for a free battery replacement within 4 years from the date of purchase, in case the battery capacity falls below 80%.
According to internal Oppo testing, the battery retains 88% of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles, which should be enough to keep the phone above 80% capacity after four years of use. The battery with a serious capacity uses a 67 W charger, but also a separate chip for charge control, and various mechanisms to maintain the battery capacity at a high level and prevent unwanted scenarios such as overheating.
On the hardware side, in addition to the Dimensity 7050 chipset, the A2 Pro has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The design of this phone is irresistibly reminiscent of the new Huawei Mate models. The rear side has a circular camera housing with four openings that houses a 64 MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and 0.7 µm pixels, and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The system runs Android 13 with the ColorOS 13.1 user interface, and there’s the always-welcome certification of resistance to minor liquid spills with IP54 certification. The phone has a fingerprint sensor under the screen, and comes in three colors – black, brown and purple, with prices ranging from 248 to 330 USD, but for the Chinese market, writes GSMArena.
