NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU benchmarks leaked, almost as fast as RTX 4070 Ti

NVIDIA The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER should be an entry-level product within RTX 40 “SUPER” series.
The graphics card will compete with Radeon RX 7800 XT, which directly targets the 1440P+ segment with 16GB of VRAM. The RTX 4070 SUPER GPU upgrade is designed to achieve performance close to the RTX 4070 Ti, but at a very competitive price point against rivals.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to come in AD104-350 or AD103-175 SKU (PG141 SKU 335) configurations with the same 7,168 cores in both variants, it says WccfTech. The GPU will get 48MB of L2 cache, and it looks like this card will keep 12GB of GDDR6X memory over the same 192-bit interface. For the RTX 4070 SUPER, the card will have a 20W higher TBP compared to the existing 4070, with 220W.
In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER should be about 14% faster than the RTX 4070 Non-SUPER. This graphics card will also get a new CEM 5.1 Gen5 power connector. In the OpenCL testsGPU scored 195,384 points, while CUDA tests showed 219,237 points in Geekbench.

GeekbenchAlthough these are synthetic tests, the results place them ahead of the RX 7900 XTX in OpenCL, but they are also 5.5% slower than the RTX 4070 Ti. When compared in the CUDA tests, the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER offers 98% of the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti, which is a great result, but we must note that actual gaming performance may yield different results.
Compared to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Non-SUPER, the SUPER variant ends up with a performance increase of 15% in the OpenCL tests and 18% in the CUDA benchmark tests.
However, matching the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti at a lower price would mean that the RTX 4070 SUPER could kill two birds with one stone. AMD flagships RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 GRE are almost on the shelves of retailers and doing well in the retail market, but the lower prices of the RTX 4070 SUPER that offer the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti could surprise everyone. The card is expected to be unveiled next week at a special NVIDIA presentation on CES 2024so we will definitely cover this event as well.
