Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 could get metal frames instead of plastic ones
A new rumor claims that both new models from A series model for 2024, Galaxy A35 i Galaxy A55could abandon plastic frames in favor of metal ones.
The Galaxy A series is undoubtedly one of the best-selling lines of Samsung devices, and the Galaxy A5x models in particular have been some of the most successful devices in that series for a long time. This series still remains one of the most sought after by users, even though it is not a flagship model.
For a long time, they were described as mid-range devices with premium features, but their plastic frames do not contribute to the feeling of a premium device in any way. However, that could change in 2024.
This rumor comes from a well-informed source on the X Network, user @Tech_Reve who has correctly informed us before, and reports Sammyfans. He brings information that Samsung will no longer use plastic frames for these mid-range devices. Both the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 could come with metal frames.
If this is true, this change will immediately improve the look and feel of these devices. It will be a welcome change for users who have long wanted Samsung to fulfill that wish, especially considering that some models from the Galaxy A series have already had metal frames in the past.
Leaked renders of the Galaxy A35 have already shown that the design of this mid-range device will now be more in line with the flagship models from Samsung. One of the main improvements for the Galaxy A35 is Infinity-O screenwhere the front camera is housed inside the cutout, eliminating the distinctive U-shape from previous models.
Both devices, Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, are expected to be powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1480 chipset. This chipset is paired with an AMD RDNA2 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM memory. Android 14 with OneUI 6.0 will be pre-installedand the devices will likely support four Android OS upgrades.
Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy A series shortly after unveiling the Galaxy S24 lineup in January next year.
