Disassembling and repairing the Galaxy S24 Ultra has never been easier

New disassembly video Galaxy S24 Ultra gives the device a nearly perfect repair result, which encourages customers who are willing to repair their device themselves through the self-repair program.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a slightly higher price tag than its predecessor, so it is advisable to handle it with care. Fortunately, when it comes to repairs, this fantastic device is pretty easy to handle.

PBKreviews has released the first teardown video of the Galaxy S24 Ultra on YouTube, and like its predecessor, it's scored an impressive repairability score of 9/10. However, careful hands are required when removing the screen to avoid possible accidents. The screen itself received a new protective glass called Gorilla Glass Armor.

In this teardown, we get a look at the motherboard and the camera with the 5x periscope telephoto sensor. Underneath the flexible AMOLED panel, the cooling system features a large vapor chamber and several additional graphite pads.

Galaxy S24 Ultra – cooling has never been better

The vapor chamber, in all its glory, is almost double the size of the Galaxy S23 Ultra to help keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset's temperature under control.

Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset for the latest line of Galaxy flagship phones may be a speed beast, but it tends to heat up a bit more. That's why a larger vapor chamber is crucial, to keep that temperature to a minimum, so when you push the phone to its limits, the system has no problem with it and gives you almost unlimited freedom.

Like its predecessor, the S24 Ultra has no glue to hold its battery; instead, it has an adhesive film and a pull strip to easily remove the battery unit. Additionally, the internal setup makes it easy to access components like the screen and charging port.

While the S24 Ultra scored near-perfect on the repairability scale, that doesn't automatically make it cheaper to repair, but at least it won't give the repairman a headache.

If you're up for the DIY challenge, a high repairability score means you can do the repair yourself without too much trouble. Otherwise, you can always go to the nearest service center if you are not used to repairs.
