Apple M3 MacBook Air may be released in March 2024 along with new iPad Pro and Air models
The company Apple plans to renew its hardware line allegedly already in March 2024, and among the novelties there should be the next generation of iPad Pro and iPad Air devices, together with the new M3 MacBook Air laptop computer. This is claimed by a well-known journalist who follows the Apple and Android scene, Mark Gurman, and adds that we will still have to wait for Mac Studio and Mac Pro devices with the new M3 chipset for some time, because they may not come out until 2025.
With the launch of the new iPad devices, Apple plans to make a clear distinction between the models to make the choice less confusing for consumers, writes Gurman. He expects that the iPad Pro will get a new M3 chip, an OLED screen and will be available in two different formats, diagonal lengths: 11 and 13 inches. Apple is also expected to introduce a new Magic Keyboard only for the Pro model.
On the other hand, the new iPad Air should arrive in a 10.9-inch screen diagonal version, as well as a new 12.9-inch option, using the M2 chip, by the way. These changes are meant to differentiate between high-end, mid-range, and standard iPads, so that people can more easily decide which one suits them best.
When it comes to the M3 MacBook Air, Gurman writes that it will most likely come in standard screen sizes of 13 and 15 inches. After its release, which will probably be in March, Apple may withdraw its M1 MacBook Air model from 2020.
This also means that the high-end Mac Studio and Mac Pro models will apparently be the last to get an upgrade to the latest line of M3 chips.
