
AMD has introduced the latest Threadripper 7000 processors for workstations and HEDT enthusiasts
AMD has introduced the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX series processors, which will be available later this year for DIY customers, SI partners and OEM partners, including Dell Technologies, HP and Lenovo. Designed for professionals and businesses that demand superior performance, reliability, expandability and security, these processors deliver unparalleled performance, supported by AMD PRO technologies and offer security and management features at the level required by modern enterprises and have up to 96 cores and 192 computational threads of incredible performance for the workstation market.
At the same time, AMD is also introducing the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series processors, returning to the HEDT environment for the first time since 2020. Maintaining AMD’s high standard for creative and professional users, the Ryzen Threadripper 7980X processor offers the highest possible computing power for desktop enthusiasts,1 with exceptional multi-threaded performance for users who demand the best. These processors, also built with AMD “Zen 4” architecture and offer up to 48 PCIe 5.0 lanes available to desktop users, have up to 64 cores and 128 threads for an unprecedented level of performance and efficiency.

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX Series processors extend the previous generation’s unmatched performance and superior platform features for the workstation market. In addition, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX series processors offer up to 384 MB of L3 cache along with eight channels of DDR5 memory for applications that require high memory capacity and bandwidth.

Availability
Workstations from Dell Technologies, HP and Lenovo as well as system integrators using the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-series processors are expected to be available by the end of 2023. High-end desktop platforms using AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series processors will be available from by system integrators until the end of 2023. Finally, the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series and select Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX series processors will be available from DIY retailers from November 21.
